TNC Predator Virtually Confirm a Spot in TI10 Despite Losing in the ESL Los Angeles

Their win in MDL Chengdu Major, the very first major of DPC 2019-2020, gaining 3000 DPC points, virtually guarantees them a place at The International 10.

First Appearance in DPC 2019

Top twelve teams with the highest DPC points receive direct invites to The International 2020. The other invited teams will be determined by Regional Qualifiers (1 per region).

TNC Predator did not manage to qualify in the recently concluded ESL One Los Angeles. They did not manage to reach second place in their bracket so their only chance to qualify for the major is the SLi Invitational Minor. However, they were again beaten by a powerhouse team in the sea region, Boom Esports. They took game 1 but they unsuccessfully take game 2 and 3, which made Boom Esports, an Indonesian stacked team, advance to the grand Finals.

Then again, they secure a place in the TI10 based on last year’s DPC season. They may be skipping one major but at least they won’t be worrying anymore in qualifying for the most awaited annual tournament.

TNC.Kuku – A Lifetime Ban in China?

TNC Predator’s “Kuku” racist remarks, still fresh from the minds of enraged Chinese community

Since the recent ban regarding TNC Predator and the Chongqing Major, it escalated a lot of drama in the e-sports scene. Due to the uproar, it made Kuku leave the e-sports scene temporarily to overlook the situation. The team faced their ups and downs due to a lot of changes such as when the team unsuccessfully qualify in the recent Dream League 2019 Major Sea Qualifier, their inconceivable loss to Team Admiral in the Starladder Imba TV Minor Open Qualifier, and their numerous opt- outs in some tournaments due to schedule conflicts. Also, the Professional gamer Michael “ninjaboogie” Ross’s leaving in the Filipino squad affected their roster greatly.

Following the publication of the WESG statement, they confirmed that Kuku can’t enter in Chongqing for the tournament. The Dota 2 community has been disappointed over Valve’s choice to lie. There are calls to action even going to the extent of moving TI9 out of Shanghai.

WESG – Kuku, officially banned in the tournament

With all these scandals, it instilled a hatred between the Chinese community and other gamer in the dota 2 community. This ban only ignites an argument on both parties without considering how Valve receive their revenues through these people. Valve should step in and create an official statement for these dramas to end it once and for all.

The Rise of Dota Auto Chess

What the heck is Auto Chess? Why is it so popular nowadays? Well, Dota Auto Chess is the sizzling sensation for Dota 2 players today, which allow players in a showdown versus seven other online players in the custom game. It has already reached up to 90,000 current players which is almost 20 percent of the entire player base of Dota 2 at a given hour. With these, Valve stepped in to purchase the game that made a lot of players obsess with the game like me.

Dota Auto Chess

Released in November of last year, Dota Auto Chess feels entirely separate from traditional Dota 2 game. One part of the game is the strategic chess with an integration of MOBA, the custom game ends up feeling like a unique way of strategic resource running. Matches often begin as relatively simple problems but eventually turn into complex battles which would make Sun Tzu blush. The game may look like Dota 2 on the surface, but most players will argue that it’s a different beast entirely.

The Awaited Dream League Major Leipzig 2020

16 teams are set to compete in Europe 2020

Sixteen of the best teams around the world are qualified to compete in the most awaited Major in Sweden this coming March. Fifteen teams qualified through regional qualifiers: three teams each from Europe, China and North America and two teams each from CIS, Southeast Asia and South America. These teams are namely Team Secret, Team Nigma, and Liquid in Europe; VP and Navi in CIS; Invictus Gaming, Vici Gaming, and Aster in China; Fnatic, and Reality Rift in SEA; Evil Geniuses, J.Storm, Forward Gaming in North America; Chaos and Infamous in South America. The remaining team will be qualified as the champion of Starladder ImbaTV Minor. With 15 teams ready, only one slot remains reserved for the winner of the upcoming Starladder minor. But don’t get too excited yet for the major as we have the minor to watch just yet.

It can be seen that LGD and TNC Predator fell short in the regional qualifiers. For TNC Predator, their loss probed a rebirth of the phoenix where they are successfully named as Champion in the Predator League as a head sta

This might be a thrilling news for many die hard fans, not that the team is any same to their former glory, Natus Vincere in Europe makes their debut for their first ever major of the season. Consisting of a completely new squad compared to Alliance and Invictus Gaming, at least Navi is not washed up as they secure the second place of CIS qualifiers. There might just be too much weight and pride that the new squad has to bear for the NaVi name but maybe they could make it as the underdogs of the major.

Who will you vouch for the upcoming major this March?
